My Volvo

My husband and I had an old Volvo station wagon. It was a great car. It was my brother-in-law's before it came to us at about 150,000 miles. Another 100,000 miles or so down the road, the car started stalling, and we'd have difficulty starting it again....

Dad was always the one who was the rock in our family. He made sure we were well taken care of and mom and we kids never questioned him; he had it all under control. After dad passed away, my mom, my sister and I were comforted because dad always told us, "it’s all taken care of." Beware! There are companies out there watching public records and when there is a death, a document recorded with the County, or a new corporation or partnership filing with the State, they send "offers" to obtain copies of the recordings or filings for you. They can look "official" but they are not! ...
